Hasan condoles death of Andrew Kishore

DHAKA, July 6, 2020 (BSS)- Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of renowned singer Andrew Kishore.

In a condolence message, the information minister said Andrew Kishore will ever be remembered by the Bangalees for his melodious voice and age-transcending songs.

Resonance of his voice expressing subtle feelings of human minds has earned him national awards for eight times, said Hasan, also Awami League joint general secretary.

The information minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

In separate messages, State Minister for Information Dr Murad Hasan and Information Secretary Kamrun Nahar expressed their deep shock at the death of Andrew Kishore.

Noted singer Andrew Kishore, who had been battling cancer, passed away at a clinic in Rajshahi this evening at the age of 64.

He was born on November 4 in 1955 in Rajshahi. He was undergoing treatment at Singapore about nine months with the financial assistance of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
