DHAKA, July 6, 2020 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of eminent Islamic scholar and Chairman of Ahl-e-Sunnat wal Jamaat Bangladesh Shere Millat Mufti Allama Obaidul Haque Nayeemi.
In a condolence message, the prime minister with profound respect recalled the contributions of Mufti Nayeemi to preaching and expansion of holy Islam.
Sheikh Hasina prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
Mufti Nayeemi, Shaykhul Hadith of Jamia Ahmadiyya Sunnia Alia Madrasa, breathed his last in Chattogram today at the age of 78.
