Hasan mourns death of Mufti Obaidul Haque Naimi
CHATTOGRAM, July 6, 2020 (BSS) – Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of the country’s top Islamic scholar Allama Mufti Obaidul Haque Naimi.
In a condolence message, Hassan said Mufti Obaidul Haque Naimi had played a unique role in spreading Islam and religious education across the country.
Mufti Obaidul Haque Naimi, also Chairman of Ahl-e-Sunnat wal Jamaat Bangladesh and Shaykhul Hadith of Jamia Ahmadiyya Sunnia Alia Madrasa, dedicated himself for the propagation of the holy religion of Islam.
Hasan, also Awami League (AL) joint general secretary, prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
Mufti Naimi breathed his last on Monday in Chattogram.
He left behind wife, five sons, numerous students, relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
