Seven dead, one injured in north China road accident

HOHHOT, June 19, 2020 (BSS/Xinhua) – A traffic accident killed seven people and injured one person on the border of north China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Hebei Province on Friday morning, local authorities said.

The accident happened at around 7:42 a.m. in the junction of Inner Mongolia’s Shangdu County and Hebei’s Shangyi County, when a heavy semi-trailer collided with a minibus carrying eight people, according to the emergency management bureau of Ulanqab City, which administers Shangdu County.

Seven people aboard the minibus died and another person was injured.

Further investigation is underway.
