Nasim’s parliamentary seat declared vacant
DHAKA, June 18, 2020 (BSS) – Awami League Presidium member, 14-party spokesperson and former health minister Mohammad Nasim’s Sirajganj-1 parliamentary constituency has been declared vacant following his death.
The Parliament Secretariat issued a notification in this regard today.
The notification stated that the Sirajganj-1 constituency of the 11th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) fell vacant on June 13 following the death of Member of Parliament (MP) Mohammed Nasim.
Nasim breathed his last on June 13 while undergoing treatment at Bangladesh Specialized Hospital in city’s Shyamoli area at the age of 72.
He was elected MP for six times from the Sirajganj-1 constituency with AL tickets.
