Nine members of credit card forgery gang remanded
DHAKA, June 8, 2020 (BSS) – A Dhaka court today placed nine members of a credit and debit card forgery gang on two-day remand each in a case lodged under Digital Security Act.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Baki Billah passed the order as police produced the accused before the court and pleaded to place them on seven-day remand.
The accused are- Nazmul Jamaddar, 19, Hasan Mir, 18, Ibrahim Mir, 18, Touhid Hawlader, 23, Mohon Shikder, 30, Pervej Mir, 18, Sohel Mollah, 26, Delwar Hossain, 35, and Syed Hawlader, 20.
Two separate teams of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested the accused from Dhaka and Faridpur on June 6 and recovered Taka 14.5 lakh and equipment used in card forgery from their possessions.
RAB later filed the case under Tejgaon Industrial Zone Police Station.
