JS deputy speaker mourns death of freedom fighter Shahan Ara Abdullah
DHAKA, June 8, 2020 (BSS) – Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Deputy Speaker Advocate Md Fazle Rabbi Miah today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of freedom fighter Shahan Ara Abdullah, wife of parliament member and former Jatiya Sangsad chief whip Abul Hasnat Abdullah.
In a condolence message, he prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
Shahan Ara, an eyewitness to the August 15 carnage, breathed her last at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital here on Sunday night.
She was the senior vice-president of Barishal district AL and advisory council member of Bangladesh Mahila Awami League.
