RANGPUR, June 6, 2020 (BSS) – Fifty tornado-hit families of Cholbola
union in Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat today received two bundles of
corrugated iron (CI) sheets and cheques for Taka 6,000 each as
government assistance.
As per the direction of Social Welfare Minister Nuruzzaman Ahmed,
MP, the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief distributed the
assistance to the affected families in the primary stage for
rebuilding their damaged houses.
Kaliganj upazila Chairman Mahbubur Zaman Ahmed distributed the
assistance in an informal function arranged strictly marinating
physical distance at Kaliganj upazila parishad auditorium as the chief
guest.
With Kaliganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer Rabiul Hasan in the chair,
Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Jahangir Hossain, Upazila
Project Implementation Officer Ferdous Alam, Cholbola union Chairman
Mizanur Rahman Miju attended the function.
