CHAPAINAWABGANJ, June 3, 2020 (BSS)- Border Guards of Bangladesh (BGB) personnel in a drive arrested a suspected drug dealer with 1.5kg heroin from Rail Bazar area under Godagari upazila this morning.
The detainee was identified as Md Selim Reza, 19, a resident of Kodal Kati village of the district, said a press release issued here.
Mohammad Suruj Mia, captain of C’nawabganj Battalion, said on a tip off, the BOP team of BGB conducted a drive in the aforesaid area around 7:45 am and arrested him.
The net worth of the seized goods is about Taka 30.22 lakh, said the official.
Filling of a case in this regard with Godagari police station is underway.
