2 more special flights from Kolkata on May 29 & 31

DHAKA, May 24, 2020 (BSS) – Novoair, one of the country’s private
airlines, will operate two special flights from Kolkata to Dhaka on
May 29 and 31 under facilitation of the government to bring back
Bangladeshi nationals stranded in India amid flight suspension due to
COVID-19 pandemic.

Novoair, as the third carrier of Bangladesh following Biman
Bangladesh Airlines and another private air operator US-Bangla
Airlines, will operate charter flight for the first time from India
since the ongoing flight suspension.

The airline has taken all preparation to operate the flights and
keep contact with the Bangladesh mission in India to this end, NOVOAIR
official told BSS.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata requested
interested passengers to contact them to enroll their names with
required information.

The returnees must provide a “Covid-19 free certificate” or
“Covid-19 symptom free certificate” to the medical team at Hazrat
Shahjalal International Airport, it said and added that in case of
failure to show the health certificate, passengers will have to go
through 14-day institutional quarantine procedure.

So far, Bangladesh brought back over 3,600 people through 27
chartered flights of Biman and US-Bangla Airlines from different
cities of India in three phases amid the ongoing flight suspension.
