75 more tested positive for coronavirus in Ctg district

CHATTOGRAM, May 17, 2020 (BSS) – A total of 75 more people were
tested positive for coronavirus in the three Covid-19 Laboratories in
Chattogram district in last 24 hours.

Of them, 28 infected patients were found at the COVID-19 BITID
Laboratory at Fuzdarhat, 35 at Chattogram Medical College Hospital
(CMCH), 12 at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Science University
(CVASU) today.

Civil Surgeon Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi told BSS that a total of 28 new
people were tested positive for coronavirus after diagnosing 221
samples at BITID in last 24 hours.

A total of 35 more new people were reported at CMCH after testing 93
samples, he added.

Meanwhile, 12 new infected patients have been reported at CVASU lab
after testing 183 samples in last 24 hours, Dr Rabbi said.

Since the first report of coronavirus patient in Dampara on April 3,
the number of corona cases in Chattogram rose to 715 in Chattogram
district in the last 45 days, he added.
