Nine fresh COVID-19 cases reported in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, May 6, 2020 (BSS) – Nine more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Chapainawabganj district today, raising the total number of coronavirus cases in the district to 11.
Of the new cases, two were from Sadar upazila, one from Shibganj upazila, three from Nachole upazila and another three from Bholahat upazila, Chapainawabganj civil surgeon office sources said.
The sources added that of the newly infected patients, one of them is a sub-assistant community medical officer and another person is a lab medical technologist (sample collector).
Civil surgeon of Chapainawabganj district Dr. Jahid Nazrul Chowdhury said so far, a total of 477 samples of suspected patients have been collected and sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for testing. Of the total, reports of 384 samples have been received.
