CHANDPUR, April 30, 2020 (BSS) – Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni today urged the local public representatives and officials concerned to ensure transparency in distributing relief goods.
She made the call while addressing a video conference with Chandpur district administration and Senior Secretary of Disaster Management and Relief Ministry Md Shah Kamal in the afternoon.
Dipu Moni, also Awami League joint general secretary, urged the public representatives, local government officials and AL leaders and activists to distribute relief items in a coordinated way.
She said as per the party (AL) directives, relief assistance committees should be formed involving party leaders at district, upazila and ward levels.
The education minister urged the civil surgeon to send COVID-19 testing kits as soon as possible everyday to the laboratories.
Local lawmaker Nurul Amin Ruhul, District Council Chairman Osman Gani Patwary, Chandpur Deputy Commissioner Md Majedur Rahman Khan, Superintendent of Police Mahbubur Rahman and District AL President and municipality mayor Nasir Uddin Ahmad joined the conference, among others.
