DHAKA, April, 28, 2020 (BSS)- The poultry farmers of eight divisions of
the country have sold about Taka 26.72 crore poultry products including milk
through mobile selling centers of the Department of Livestock across the
country.
The farmers have sold 24,10,881 litres milk, 1,18,87,289 eggs and
15,86,662 poultry chickens of Taka 26,72,55,476 through the mobile selling
centers of the Department of Livestock.
The Department of Livestock under the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock
has taken the initiative to sell poultry items through mobile selling centers
due to Coronavirus crisis, said a press release here today.
The ministry has asked all concerned officials to take necessary steps to
ensure supply and marketing of poultry items of the marginal farmers due to
current Coronavirus epidemic.
