Navy continues various operations to fight COVID-19
DHAKA, April 28, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh Navy has continued with various operations and awareness campaigns to prevent and control Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) as they sprayed disinfectant on the major roads and footpaths and in nearby areas in the capital’s Hatirjheel.
Besides, the Naval Force today sprayed disinfectant, provided treatment facilities, reached food parcels to the doorsteps of poor and destitute families and conducted various awareness campaigns in those areas of Chattogram and Khulna which are under their jurisdiction, said an ISPR press release today.
Meanwhile, the Navy personnel are also motivating people regularly through loudspeakers, and distributing leaflets among them to washing hands, maintaining social distancing and staying at home.
Besides, they are also distributing food materials including rice, pulses, potatoes as well as masks and soaps, among the poor and helpless families after going to their houses avoiding public gatherings in support with the civil administration.
The operations of Navy will continue until the situation improves.
