CHATTOGRAM, April 21, 2020 (BSS)- Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) installed an Auto Sanitizing Chamber (ASC) in front of its Tiger Pass office today in an effort to contain the spread of COVID-19.

People can be disinfected by automatic spray in just four seconds standing inside this sanitizing chamber. The auto spray chamber has been developed, at a cost of Taka 20,000, by six students of Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology (CUET), led by its fourth year student Abu Adnan.

City mayor A J M Nasir Uddin inaugurated the ASC in a simple ceremony on Tuesday (April 21). “The officials of CCC and other people will be automatically sprayed by Auto Sanitizing Chamber and they will become germ-free,” the mayor said.

The auto sanitizing spray system has been introduced in many countries, including India, Vietnam, the United States, the United Kingdom and many other developed countries to protect the people from the infection of coronavirus.
