CHAPAINAWABGANJ, April 18, 2020 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged drug peddler with 4,280 pieces of yaba tablets from Ranihati area under Shibganj upazila of the district yesterday afternoon.
The arrested person was identified as Md. Khairul Islam, 31 of Uttar Uzirpur village under Shibganj upazila of the district.
RAB said, acting on detective information, an operation team of RAB-5 from Rajshahi Mollapara camp raided the aforesaid area at around 3.40 pm and arrested Khairul with the yaba tablets.
Later the arrested person was handed over to the police of Shibganj thana and a case was filed under Narcotics Control Act.
