Private hospital to be set up for Covid-19 patients in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, April 11, 2020 (BSS) – A private hospital with 20 ICU beds will
be set up in Chattogram for treatment of COVID-19 patients.
City Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin has taken an initiative to renovate now Holy
Crescent Hospital in Khulshi for corona patients. The Private Hospitals
Association Chattogram is funding for preparing Holy Crescent Hospital for
COVID-19 patients.
AJM Nasir along with the leaders of the hospital association visited Holy
Crescent Hospital in Khulshi today.
Nasir said the Holy Crescent Hospital will be renovated and set up 100 beds
including 20 ICU beds. As the hospital abandoned for a long time, it will be
renovated by Chattogram city corporation, he added.
“I have talked to the power and Karnafuli Gas distribution authorities,
they agreed to provide the connection of gas and electricity quickly. This is
certainly good news for the people of Chattogram,” he added.
Nasir said considering the corona situation, the Private Clinic Association
has taken the initiative to make Holy Crescent a full-pledged hospital for
corona patients.
During the visit, Chief health officer of CCC Dr Selim Akhter Chowdhury,
BMA General Secretary Dr Foisal Iqbal Chowdhury and leaders of Private Clinic
Association, among others, were present on the occasion.
