510 jobless families get rice in Saddyapuskorini union

RANGPUR, April 7, 2020 (BSS) – A total of 510 jobless, distressed and needy families of Saddyapuskorini union in Sadar upazila of the district today received 5.10 tonnes of rice, with 10-kg each, amid coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.

Rangpur Sadar upazila chairman Nasima Zaman Boby and Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Israt Sadia Sumi distributed the 5.10 tonnes of rice allocated by the government maintaining social distancing at three separate functions held in the union.

They distributed the rice among 300 beneficiary families on Saddyapuskorini union parishad ground, 110 families on Saddyapuskorini Government Primary School ground and 100 families at Fatehpur village of the union.

Chairman of Saddyapuskorini union parishad Alhaj Md. Sohel Rana, President of union Awami League Moksedur Rahman, its General Secretary Nazrul Islam Mantu and Organising Secretary Mahmudul Islam Biplob were present on the occasions.
