DMP continues spraying germicide in city
DHAKA, April 01, 2020 (BSS) – Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) continued spraying of germicide throughout the city since March 25 to prevent the transmission of deadly coronavirus (COVID-19) that already claimed six lives in Bangladesh and over 43,000 across the world.
The DMP is carrying out the disinfectant spraying programme by using eight water cannons in city’s eight areas — Ramna, Lalbagh, Wari, Mirpur,Gulshan, Uttara and Mothijheel — in two times on a day, a DMP release said here today.
It said first of all, the work of spraying begins at 10 in the morning and continues till 12 at noon and later, it resumes at 4 pm and continues till 6 pm.
With the directives by DMP Commissioner M Shafiqul Islam, the Police will continue the antiseptic spraying drive till further notice.
