Naval-vessels deployed for raising awareness for COVID-19
DHAKA, March 31, 2020 (BSS) – Aiming to prevent the nationwide spread of coronavirus(COVID-19) as well as raise awareness among fishermen along with their facilities of sea and coastal rivers in country, a total of 9 naval ships are being deployed in the country.
The members of Bangladesh Navy (BN)is conducting awareness campaigns regarding health rules given for COVID-19 virus such as maintaining social distancing, giving advises, distributing essential food items, soups and masks and hygienic materials, a press release of the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said here today.
They also alert fishermen for maintaining social distancing in their trawlers and boats while fishing, it added.
The activities of the naval vessels will continue until the overall situation in the country improves.
