Kamal Mojumder distributes foods, sanitizers among poor
DHAKA, March 27, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Mojumder today distributed daily necessaries and sanitizers to wage-earners in Mirpur area today as the coronavirus outbreak triggered ‘stay at home’ rules has almost stopped their income apparently.
Around 3,000 day laborers and destitute people each received 10 kg rice, 2 kg pulse, 2 kg potato, one piece of soap and a tube of hand sanitizer.
Speaking on the occasion, he urged all to follow the directives of World Health Organisation (WHO) and Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) to help the government contain the spread of the deadly novel coronavirus.
The state minister urged the rich section of the society to extend their helping hands to stay beside the poor and destitute people.
