IF urges home returnees to avoid mosques, gatherings
DHAKA, March 19, 2020 (BSS) – The Islamic Foundation has called upon home
returnees and sick persons to refrain from going to mosques and public
gatherings.
“To keep the mankind including Muslims protected from coronavirus, the
Islamic Foundation gave directives to home returnees, individuals having
symptoms of COVID-19 and sick persons to avoid going to mosques,” said a
press release of the foundation today.
Besides, the foundation urged the family members and those who came in
close contact with the home returnees to refrain from going to public
gatherings and mosques as well.
Religious gatherings have also been discouraged, it said.
IF also urged the mosque authorities to raise awareness about the deadly
coronavirus among the devotees while delivering religious sermon “khutba”
before Jummah prayers.
