Debiganj to get IT park: Palak

PANCHAGARH, Feb 29, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak today said the government has taken a project to construct Sheikh Kamal IT Park in Debiganj at a cost of Taka 100 crore.

He was addressing a discussion meeting at Nripendra Narayan Government High School after visiting the proposed site of the Sheikh Kamal High-tech Park in Debiganj, Panchagarh.

Enunciating the importance of IT sector, Palak said hi-tech parks are going to be established throughout the country aiming to enrich the country’s ICT sector. He ensured that millions of youths will get jobs in the Mujib Year.

Palak also said, young generation will have to be more efficient in the ICT arena. For this, the government has provided various types of training on ICT issues across the country, he added.

Sheikh Kamal IT Park and Training-cum-Incubation Centre will be constructed at a cost of Taka 100 crore on one acre of land in Debiganj so that the educated young people get jobs after training.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Prattoy Hasan chaired the programme while Upazila Parishad Chairman Abdul Malek Chisti, President of Debiganj Upazila Awami League Gias Uddin Chowdhury and General Secretary Hasnat Zaman Chowdhury Jorge, spoke, among others, on the occasion.

Later, the state minister unveiled the plaque of foundation stone of ICT Training Centre on Mofijar Rahman Degree College premises here.
