DHAKA, Feb 25, 2020 (BSS) – A total of 172 students from 36 public universities, who secured the highest CGPA in their faculties, will receive the Prime Minister Gold Medal tomorrow.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hand over the gold medals among the students as the chief guest at the Shapla Hall of Prime Minister’s Office.
Among the awardees, 88 are female and 84 male, said a press release.
University Grants Commission (UGC) will organise the award giving ceremony.
Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni, Secretary of Secondary and Higher Education Division Md. Mahbub Hossain and Deputy Minister for Education Mohibul Hassan Chowdhury will be present as special guest.
UGC Chairman Professor Dr. Kazi Shahidullah will preside over the function.
In 2017, a total of 163 students were awarded Prime Minister Gold Medal for their outstanding academic results.
