Govt priorities on ensuring nutritious food for all: Razzaque
DHAKA, Feb 20, 2020 (BSS) – Agriculture Minister Dr Md Abdur Razzaque today said the government has given priority on ensuring necessary nutritious food for all.
“Though it is a big challenge to ensure required nutritious food for all, the government has taken various programmes to face the challenge,” he said.
The minister stated this while addressing a seminar on ‘Climate change and food security’ organized by Bangladesh Climate Change Journalists’ Forum (BCJF) at the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) in the city, said a press release.
Noting that adverse impact of climate change makes the people’s life and livelihood vulnerable, Razzaque urged all to come forward to tackle it.
Presided over by IDEB President AKMA Hamid, Bangladesh Rice Research Institute Director General Dr Md Shahjahan Kabir and Agricultural Extension Department Director General Dr Md Abdul Muyeed addressed the seminar as special guests.
Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation Chairman Dr Md Selim Uddin, economist Dr Md AM Asaduzzaman and Agriculture Information Service Director Md Asadullah took part as the discussants.
Professor of Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University Dr Md Sajjat Hossain Sarker presented a keynote paper.
BCJF President Kawsar Rahman conducted the seminar.
