Good governance prevailing in country: Inu

KHULNA, Feb 14, 2020 (BSS) – President of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JASOD)Hasanul Haque Inu, MP, here today said the people of the country are now reaping the benefits of prevailing good governance.

“Bangladesh has entered into a new political era from January 2019 to advance the nation a step forward and to establish good governance,” he said.

Inu, also Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Information, was addressing the joint triennial conference of Khulna district and city units of JASOD at Public Hall Chattor in the city as the chief guest.

He said the country has witnessed unprecedented developments in last 10 years under the capable leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, turning Bangladesh into an abode of peace and progress and a bastion of the War of Liberation.

“We have to strengthen the hands of Sheikh Hasina as her government has been fighting against militancy, razakars, fire-terrorism, anti-liberation forces and drug traders since 2008,” he said.

Inu said the government should have zero tolerance against corruption at all levels for removing discrimination and addressing the danger of militancy.

“BNP does not understand the language of democracy and does not abide by laws and courts. Their only target is to go power by any means and carry out politics of killings and looting,” he added.

Joint Secretary of JASOD central committee Obaidur Rahman Chunnu, President of Jatiya Sromik Jote Bangladesh Saifuzzaman Badsha, Organizing Secretary of JASOD central committee Khalid Hossain and Organizing Secretary of JASOD central committee Abdul Alim Swapan addressed the council as special guests.

Presided over by convener of JASOD council preparatory committee Sheikh Golam Murtoza, the meeting was conducted by member-secretary of the committee SM Rezaul Karim.

General Secretary of National Awami Party (NAP) of Khulna Babu Tapon Kumar Roy, President of Satkhira District JASOD Obaidus Sultan Bablu and General Secretary of JASOD Kustia district unit Babu Asit Borun Roy, among others, were present on the occasion.

Later, Sheikh Golam Murtoza and SM Rezaul Karim were elected JASOD district unit president and general secretary respectively while Khalid Hossain and Arifuzzaman Montu were elected city unit president and general secretary respectively.
