1st reunion of JU Mir Mosharraf Hossain Hall held
SAVAR, Feb 14, 2020 (BSS) – The first reunion of the Mir Mosharraf Hossain
Hall of Jahangirnagar University (JU) was held today on the campus amid much
fanfare and festivity.
JU Vice Chancellor Professor Farzana Islam inaugurated the daylong
programme as chief guest on the hall premises around 10 am.
Marking the day, the students of the hall brought out a colorful rally
from hall premises. After parading different streets of the campus the rally
ended at the same place.
More than 3,000 former and current students of the hall took part in the
rally while Vice Chancellor Prof Farzana Islam attended the rally as the
chief guest.
Presided over by convener of the reunion committee and Vice Chancellor of
Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University Professor Dr Md Alauddin,
founder provost of the hall Professor Dr. Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, former student
and former vice chancellor of JU Professor Dr. Shariff Enamul Kabir, former
Pro- VC Professor Dr. Imam Uddin and Former provost of the hall and former
Vice Chancellor of Comilla University Professor Dr Amir Hossain spoke in the
inaugural session.
Conducted by the Member Secretary of the reunion committee and director of
Sirajganj Economic Zone Sheikh Monwar Hossain, JU Pro- VC (Administration)
Professor Dr. Amir Hossain, Pro- VC (Education) Professor Dr. Nurul Alam,
Treasurer Sheikh Md. Monzurul Huq and MMH hall provost Professor Dr. Obaidur
Rahman were present at the inaugural ceremony, among others.
