Sheikh Hasina leading country with honesty, people’s confidence: Lawmakers

SANGSAD BHABAN, Feb 6, 2020 (BSS) – Lawmakers today said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is leading the country with honesty, utmost sincerity, efficiency and confidence of the people of building “Sonar Bangla”, dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The country witnessed unprecedented successes in all sectors across the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to transform the country into a developed nation by 2041, they said while taking part in the discussion on the thanksgiving motion on the President’s January 9 address to the House.

Awami League lawmakers State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Mojumder, Deputy Minister for Water Resources AKM Enamul Hoque Shameem, Mohibur Rahman Manik, Showkat Hasanur Rahman (Rimon), Mahfuzur Rahaman and Md Habibar Rahman took part in the discussion with Deputy Speaker Fazle Rabbi Miah in the chair.

Taking part in the discussion AKM Enamul Hoque Shameem said, “The people of the country can’t think any alternative to the ‘Boat’, the election symbol of ruling Awami League, and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s daughter Sheikh Hasina”.

The people of the country not only think, but also believe that the country will not go back as long as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is in the state power, he said, adding they (people) can sleep soundly without fear with peace as daughter of Bangabandhu stays vigilant.

State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Mojumder said under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her directives, the government is relentlessly working to materialize Bangabandhu’s dream of building ‘Sonar Bangla’ through flourishing the agriculture and industrial sectors.

Referring to the country’s achievements in different development indexes in the last one decade, he said, Bangladesh is now progressing towards becoming a developed country by 2041 leaving its neighboring countries behind in the indexes.

Other lawmakers, taking part in the discussion, thanked the President for his time-worthy speech, saying that President Abdul Hamid in his 163-page speech has projected the government’s success in all sectors in the last 11 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and outlined the government’s future plans for transforming the country into a developed and prosperous one by 2041.

Highlighting the President’s speech on the celebration of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the lawmakers said celebration of Bangabandhu’s birth centenary will remain as a milestone in the country’s history.

Earlier, the lawmakers paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman for his sacrifice and contribution to establish an independent Bangladesh.

They also paid rich tributes to the national four leaders and martyrs of the 1975 carnage and the Language Movement.
