Elderly women burnt to death in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, Feb 4, 2020 (BSS) – An elderly woman died in devastating fire
that broke out in Kaliaish area under Satkania upazila here early today.
The deceased was identified as Anowara Begum, 70.
Station officer of Agrabad Fire Services control room said the fire broke
out at a house in the aforesaid area in the early hours of the day, leaving
the elderly woman dead.
Two units from Satkania fire station rushed to the spot and recovered the
body after dousing the fire.
Fire service sources said the fire originated from the electric short
circuit while the loss of the fire was estimated at Taka 3 lakh.
