Small, medium entrepreneurs to get Tk 17cr loan
DHAKA, Jan 27, 2020 (BSS) – SME Foundation will distribute another Taka 17
crore loan to small and medium entrepreneurs at highest 9 percent interest
rate through Bank Asia in seven SME clusters across the country.
To this end, SME Foundation and Bank Asia today struck a deal.
Managing Director of SME Foundation Md Shafikul Islam and Bank Asia
President and Managing Director Md Arfan Ali inked the agreement at the
meeting room of SME Foundation, said a press release.
Entrepreneurs at Shauyael handloom cluster in Bogura will get Taka 4 crore
loan in next five years while Madhabdi Textile cluster in Narsingdi Taka 3
crore, Kustia’s Kumarkhali Textile cluster Taka 2 crore, Munshiganj’s garment
cluster Taka 2 crore, Dhaka’s Shyampur-Zurain and Kadamtali electrical
cluster Taka 4 crore, and women entrepreneurs in production and service
sector would get Taka 2 crore as loan.
Each entrepreneur would get lowest Taka 1 lakh to highest Taka 25 lakh
loan without any mortgage.
