13th death anniversary of freedom fighter Mihir Dutta observed
BARISAL, Jan 20, 2020 (BSS) – The 13th death anniversary of Language Movement veteran and war-wounded Freedom Fighter Mihir Dutta was observed today with due respect at his Agorpur road residence in the city.
Marking the anniversary, family members arranged a special prayer and discussion meeting highlighting how Dutta spent his life for the welfare of the people.
Mihir Dutta was a humanitarian who contributed in social, political, cultural arena and journalism field in the Barisal region. He was also known as novelist, drama director in both Dhaka and Kolkata.
Mihir Dutta was the founder member of Abdur Rab Serniabat Barisal Press Club. He was the local representatives of United Press of Pakistan and Daily Ittefaq.
Mihir Dutta was born on November 11 in 1935 and died on January 20 in 2007.
