MOULVIBAZAR, Jan 19, 2020 (BSS) – A man killed himself after stabbing four people, including his wife and mother-in-law, to death over a family dispute in Borolekha upazila of Moulvibazar district today.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Faruq Ahmed said, “Nirmal Karmakar ,38, a worker of a tea garden, hanged himself at his home after killing his wife, mother-in-law and two neighbors.”
The incident took place in the Pallartal tea garden in Borolekha upazila of Moulvibazar around 5.30am, he added.
Other four victims are Joly Banerjee, 34, Laxmi Banerjee, 48, Basanta Bhokta, 52, and Shewly Bhokta, 11.
The injured Kanon Bokta was admitted to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College for treatment.
