Next generation should be given modern education: Shamim

SHARIATPUR, Jan 18, 2020 (BSS) – Deputy Minister of Water Resources AKM
Enamul Haque Shamim today said the next generation will be groomed with
modern education to face challenges of technology-based world.

“The government has been implementing massive programmes for improving
quality of education to create skilled workforce in the country,” he told at
a function marking centenary founding of Nariya Bihari Lal Government High
School in Shariatpur.

Among others, Principle of Nariya Govt. College Maksuda Begum, Upazila
Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mahbubur Rahman Sheikh, Nariya Municipal Mayor Shahidul
Islam Babu Rari, President of Nariya Upazila Awami league Hasan Ali Rari were
also present.

He also said if any student faces financial problems, the Ashrafunnessa
Foundation will support them for continuing studies.

Later, the deputy minister laid the foundation stone of the six-storey
academic building of Nariya Government College.
