2 held with 22,000 Yaba pills in city
DHAKA, Dec 21, 2019 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion-1 (RAB-1) arrested two people along with 22,300 pieces of Yaba worth about Taka one crore in a raid at Amtali in the city’s Banani area this afternoon.
The arrested were identified as Abdullah Al Saidee, 25, son of Md Mizanur Rahman and Md Abdullah, 22, son of Siddiq Ahmed of Lohagara under Chattogram district.
Confirming the news Senior ASP M Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan, assistant director of legal and media section of the RAB, said acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted the drive and arrested them along with Yaba pills and a private car from the area.
The RAB also seized a private car used to carry Yaba, three mobile phones and cash Taka 1,800, he said.
Process is underway to take legal actions against the arrestees under the Narcotics Control Act.
