DHAKA, Aug 3, 2017 (BSS) – Awami League Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud today said the countrymen will give a befitting reply, if BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia cuts cake on the National Mourning Day to celebrate her fake birthday.
“Please don’t cut cake in London in the name of celebrating birthday on the National Mourning Day…If you (Begum Zia) do it, the people of Bangladesh will give you a befitting reply,” he said while speaking at a meeting as chief guest.
Bangladesh Swadhinata Parishad organized the meeting marking the National Mourning Day at Jatiya Press Club here with Parishad Advisor Chittaranjan Das in the chair.
Tanti League Executive President Sadhona Das Gupta and Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote General Secretary Arun Sarker Rana, among others, addressed the discussion.
Mahmud said Begum Zia is now busy in hatching conspiracy with the plotters at home and abroad. “We have all details about Begum Zia — where she is going and with whom she is meeting,” he added.
