DHAKA, Dec 20, 2019 – (BSS) – President M Abdul Hamid today mourned the death of BRAC founder and chair emeritus Sir Fazle Hasan Abed.
In a condolence message, the head of the state expressed deep shock and sorrow at his death. The President recalled his contribution to the socio-economic development of the country.
“The nation will remember him for long with due respect,” he added.
The President also conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace for the departed soul of Abed.
Sir Fazle Hasan Abed died of a brain tumor at a hospital in the city tonight at the age of 83.
