125 youths UCEP-trained get job at job fair in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Dec 15, 2019 (BSS) – Some 125 youths, trained by
Underprivileged Children’s Educational Programs in Bangladesh (UCEP-
Bangladesh), were directly employed today at a Job Fair-2019 here today.

After taking interviews, officials of Rangpur Foundry Limited (RFL), RD
Food Limited, Neon Auto, Navana Engineering Limited (NEL), ACI Motors, Sparky
Rangpur and other employers employed the 125 youths and selected some others
to employ them soon.

Rangpur Regional UCEP Office under its Job Placement Component organised
the fair on the UCEP Rangpur Technical School ground in the city.

The bdjobs dot com, RFL, RD Food Limited, RFL Rangpur, NEL, ACI Auto,
Neon Auto, Sparky Rangpur and other industries, factories and institutions
and employers’ organisations set up 23 stalls on the fairground.

High officials of around 35 industries, factories and employers’
organisations from across the country visited the stalls.

After collecting bio-data from over 500 youths trained at Rangpur UCEP
Technical School on ten different trades, representatives of the
participating industries, factories and employers’ organisations interviewed
and employed 125 of them directly.

Sparky Rangpur Chairman Monzurul Islam Raton, RFL’s Deputy Manager
Hasan, Proprietor of North Bengal Refrigeration Harun Ar Rashid, Manager of
RD Food Limited Shibli Sadek Papon and Production Manager of NEL Nazrul Islam
spoke on the occasion.

Rangpur Regional Manager of UCEP Shahinul Islam delivered welcome speech
while Job Placement Specialist of UCEP Bangladesh Rashedul Islam addressed
the concluding ceremony on the fairground.

Shahinul discussed UCEP activities in transforming underprivileged
working children into skilled human resources by imparting technical and
vocational education and training to meet the demands of local industries.

He sought cooperation of industrialists, employers and business leaders
to enhance activities of UCEP-Bangladesh in providing education and training
to underprivileged children to turn them into skilled workforces for their
jobs to attain self-reliance.

The speakers appreciated UCEP-Bangladesh and its all Technical Schools
across the country for producing skilled workforce for their employment in
local industries.

Monzurul Islam urged the UCEP authorities to develop more innovative
programs and produce skilled workforce on various time-befitting and need-
based trades for meeting growing demand for skilled workforces in the local
industries.
