Sheikh Sekander Ali appointed Bangladesh ambassador to Libya

DHAKA, Aug 2, 2017 (BSS) – Sheikh Sekander Ali has been appointed as the next Ambassador of Bangladesh to Libya, a foreign ministry statement said here today.

He is now serving as Ambassador of Bangladesh to Sultanate of Oman since 2013.

Sekander Ali, a career diplomat of the 9th BCS (Foreign Affairs), joined Foreign Service in 1991.

In his distinguished diplomatic career, he served in Bangladesh Missions in Doha, Kuala Lumpur, Brussels and Abu Dhabi in different capacities.

Sekander Ali completed several professional training courses at home and abroad.

He obtained his Master’s Degree in Science and Bachelor Degree in Law from the University of Dhaka.
