Bangladesh take on Sri Lanka in SAG women’s cricket T20 final tomorrow

KATHMANDU, Dec 7, 2019 (BSS)-Bangladesh women’s cricket team take on Sri Lanka in the gold deciding women’s T20 final match of the ongoing 13th South Asian Games scheduled to be held tomorrow at Pokhara Rangasala ground in Nepal.

The match kicks off at 11.15 am (BST).

Prior to the final skipper Salma Khatun talking the reporters today during the practice session at Rangasala outer venue said: “Definitely it will be good achievement for the country if we able to win gold in the first appearance of games.

Tomorrow (Sunday) is our final match and if we able to give out best, we we’ll be able to win gold, she added.

As we are going to taking part in the SA games for the first time so everyone is expecting form us and we also want to give our maximum effort to win the gold.

Nigar Sultana, who is now in pick form by hitting century in the last match, said they have a specific plan and with the target they have come here.

Joti said they have taken a good preparation to win the gold medal. The first step, by winning the three matches, already completed and in the final step they want to win the gold medal.

Asked if she feels any pressure before the gold deciding match against Sri Lanka, Joti said she does not feels any pressure rather everyone giving inspiration to win the final.

Bangladesh women’s cricket team coach Anju Jain said their opponent is good side and it will be going to be a contesting final match. She also said that the present team comprising some senior and junior players and a balanced side which it would able to fight in the final.

Replying to a question the coach said, there is no injury problem in the team.
