Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka in SAG women’s handball

POKHARA, Dec 6, 2019 (BSS)- Bangladesh women’s handball team beat moved to the semifinal of the ongoing South Asian Games beating Sri Lanka by 34-13 goals in their second match held on Friday at Pokhara Covered Hall.

The winners led the first half by 16-6 goals.

Bangladesh will now lock horn against India in the semifinal scheduled to be held tomorrow (Saturday) at the same venue at 9 am.

The men’s handball team will face Pakistan will also be held tomorrow with Bangladesh take on Pakistan 4 pm.

Earlier, Bangladesh women’s handball team lost to host Nepal by 26-24 goals, despite taking a narrow 13-12 goal lead at the breather.
