Mixed day for handball in SAG

KATHMANDU, Dec 5, 2019 (BSS)- Bangladesh men’s handball team shrugged off
their previous match defeat as they bounced back to register a 38-22 goals
win over the Maldives in their second match of the ongoing 13th South Asian
Games on Thursday at Pokhara Covered Hall in Pokhara.

The winners’ led the first half by 16-10 goals.

Earlier, Bangladesh men’s handball team made a losing start as they
suffered a 33-42 goals defeat to strong India in their opening match held on
Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh women’s handball team lost to host Nepal by 26-24
goals, despite taking a narrow 13-12 goal lead at the breather.

Bangladesh women’s handball team will play their second match against Sri
Lanka tomorrow (Friday) at the same venue at 11 am.
