Execution of Bangabandhu’s fugitive killers demanded

DHAKA, Dec 4, 2019 (BSS) – Speakers at a discussion today demanded
execution of the verdict against fugitive convicted killers of Father of the
Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman after bringing them back home.

No killer of Bangabandhu should be allowed to remain fugitive abroad when
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is in the state power, they said, adding the
verdict against the killers must be executed at any cost by bringing them
back home.

The Health Assistance Committee of Ekattorer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee
organized the discussion titled ‘Pride of Bengali and Liberation War of 1971’
at the conference room of the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital
(SSMCH) in the city.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni addressed the discussion as the chief guest
while State Minister for Information Dr Md Murad Hassan and Bangladesh
Medical Association (BMA) President Dr Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin addressed it
as special guests.

Ekattorer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee President eminent writer and
journalist Shahriar Kabir delivered the welcome speech in the discussion with
Health Assistance Committee President and SSMCH Director Professor Dr Uttam
Kumar Barua in the chair.

Addressing the discussion, Dr Dipu Moni said an anti-liberation clique
wanted to kill the state named Bangladesh through assassinating Bangabandhu
along with his family members in 1975.

In the name of healthy politics, they were trying to push the country into
darkness by doing evil politics against the liberation war, she added.

Noting that conspiracies of the evil forces are still continuing, the
education minister made a call for resisting those anti-liberation forces.

State Minister for Information Murad Hassan said the nation will never
forgive the Pakistani collaborators.

The new generation should be informed about the evil acts of the
masterminds of Bangabandhu killing — Khondaker Mostaq Ahmad and Ziaur
Rahman, he said, adding their posthumous trial should be held in the soil of
this country by forming a high-level commission soon to make the Bengali
nation free from stigma.

Shahriar Kabir urged all to resist those, who disgrace Liberation War,
freedom fighters and martyrs.
