Many opportunities in country still untapped: Saifuzzaman
DHAKA, Nov 20, 2019 (BSS) – Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury today said Bangladesh is a land of great opportunity where many opportunities are still untapped.
He stated this while speaking at ‘America Bangladesh Business Convention 2019’ as the chief guest at Samson H Chowdhury Centre of Dhaka Club in the city, a press release said.
Saifuzzaman said Bangladesh has taken many development programmes to achieve the Millennium Development Goals.
The present government started its journey in 2009 with the firm confidence of establishing a poverty-free and non-discriminatory prosperous Bangladesh to achieve vision 2021 envisaged by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The minister called upon expatriate Bangladeshis, American entrepreneurs and business communities to invest more in Bangladesh.
Former US congressman Lawrance La Rocco presented a keynote paper.
Directors of US2BD (American-Bangladesh Development Group) Robert Leggat, Mia Mujibur Rahman and Dr Ali Afzal were the guests of honor while Dr Julifa Haider Mohammed Noor A Alam presided over the event.
