BARGUNA, Nov 17, 2019 (BSS) – Members of the Rapid Action Battalion
(RAB) arrested a drug peddler and recovered fire arms, bullets and yaba
tablets from Amtali town of the district on Sunday morning.
RAB – 8, Patuakhali camp commander and Additional Superintendent of police
Mohammad Raish Uddin said acting on secret information, a RAB team led by
Senior Additional Superintendent of police Shoyeb Ahmed Khan conducted a
drive at an alleged drug dealer Kawsar’s residence at about 5 am and
arrested him with a country made pistol ‘One shooter’, three round bullets
and 200 pieces of Yaba tablets.
Later he was handed over to Amtali police.
Officer- in Charge of Amtali thana said, Kawsar has been wanted in 14 cases
and five members of his family are also involved in illegal drug peddling.
