COX’SBAZAR, NOV 15, 2019 (BSS) – District police in a special drive today detained 11 Rohingyas from Sonarpara area of Ukhia upazila of the district while trafficking to Malaysia by sea.
Siddhartha Ghose, in charge of Inani police outpost told BSS that 11 Rohingyas including women and children have been congregated in a cottage at the aforesaid area who were supposed to get on board of the trawlers at a convenient time .
Acting on information, a team of police raided the cottage and detained them but no trafficker was arrested in the drive.
Ghose said investigation to identify the traffickers is on in this
connection.
