Int’l fire safety expo begins Feb 15

DHAKA, Nov 09, 2019 (BSS) – The country’s biggest International Fire Safety and Security Expo-2020 will begin in the capital on February 15, with organizers hoping to attract more than 10 thousand visitors of the three-day event.

Electronics Safety and Security Association of Bangladesh (ESSAB) is going to host the mega event at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in the capital, the organizers said at a function today at Hotel InterContinental Dhaka.

Presided over by ESSAB president Motaher Hoshan Khan, the function was attended by Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) president Sheikh Fazle Fahim as chief guest, while Fire Service and Civil Defence Director (FSCD) (Training, Planning and Development) Lt Col SM Zulfiker Rahman, former FSCD Director General (retd) Ali Ahammad Khan was present.

This would be an exhibition of fire, and electronic safety equipments. The main object is to make these products and services more available in market, to ensure social awareness, introduce latest and modern technologies and serve the best product to potential users.

Along with the development of Bangladesh’s economy and acceleration of industrial safety security, construction, the demand for fire products from its building and industrial protection and the fire department continuously increases every year.

ESSAB, would like to establish a golden platform between manufacturers and final users to display products, exchange technology, seek cooperation, and enhance understanding, the organizers said.

A total of 25 countries would take part in the exhibition including the USA, UK, Germany, Italy, Taiwan, Turkey, China and India.
