Day-time launch service to be launched on Dhaka-Bhola route: Secretary
DHAKA, Nov 6, 2019 (BSS) – Shipping Secretary Md Abdus Samad today said the government will introduce launch service on Dhaka-Bhola route in the day time while it will resume launch service on the Dhaka-Lakshmipur route.
He announced this at a meeting held at the Shipping Ministry here, said a press release.
Food Secretary Shahabuddin Ahmed, Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) Chairman Sultan Ahmed, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) Chairman Commodore M Mahbub Ul Islam, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Chairman Syed Md Tajul Islam, Bhola Development Forum Advisor Md Mahbubur Rahman Hiron, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Bhola Mohammad Masud Alam Siddique, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Lakshmipur Zila Anjan Chandra Paul, Bhola Development Forum president Abul Kashem and its general secretary Zahurul Islam, among others, attended the meeting.
