Bank official held on graft charges
DHAKA, Nov 6, 2019 (BSS) – The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today arrested a bank official from the capital in a graft case.
A team of the national anti-graft agency arrested MA Saleque, a former officer of Sonali Bank Limited, from the city’s Segunbagicha area at about 12 pm today, ACC Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya said.
On December 2, 2017, a case was filed against Saleque and some others with Gazaria Police Station in Munshiganj for allegedly swindling out over Taka 1.84 crore from the Bhaberchar branch of Sonali Bank.
According to the first information report, the accused in collusion with each other withdrew Taka 1.84 crore from pension bill fund by preparing fake documents and plundered the money.
