Ten-point plan adopted for Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims

DHAKA, Nov 04, 2019 (BSS)- With the aim of making cozier and smooth the hajj management for Bangladeshi pilgrims in 2020, the Ministry of Religious Affairs in consultation with all the authorities concerned has adopted a ten-point plan.

This was stated by the State Minister for Religious Affairs Alhaj Advocate Sheikh Md Abdullah while addressing as the leader of the Bangladesh delegation of World Hajj and Umrah Convention at Hotel Intercontinental in London, according to a press release received here today.

The ten points plan include completing immigration of all hajj pilgrims in Bangladesh, further improvement in the luggage management of hajj pilgrims, increasing the quota for Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims, reducing the cost of performing hajj and increasing the number of pilgrims under the government management.

CEO of World Hajj and Umrah Convention Mohsin Totla, Chairman of National Hajj and Omrah council of Nigeria Mohammad Bashir, Bangladesh high commissioner to the UK Saida Muna Tasneem, Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Religious Affairs ABM Amin Ullah Nuri, Political Counsellor Dewan Mahmudul Haque and representatives of the host UK, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Malaysia, India and Pakistan were also present at the conference.
